Application Guidelines The purpose of this application is to gather information on your experimental requirements so that we evaluate them in regard to the capabilities of the Optical Interferometry Developmental Laboratory (OIDL). All applications for space allocation are considered on the basis of technical and programmatic requirements. Priority is given toward experiments that need the quietest of environments i.e. those that require vibration isolation, acoustic damping, thermal stability with little or no atmospheric mixing, and also seek the absence of environmental interference (e.g. mechanical, and RF), and optical path length stability (nanometer or better). Programmatic/project requests to support interferometry and high dynamic range imaging will be given priority. A secondary priority will be given on space available basis to advanced imaging system development or project work, which does not need the quiet environment available. Submission Please submit a written request for laboratory space for each experiment you would like to locate in OIDL. You may submit via the web (see link below), or in any other written manner (fax, email, hard copy, etc.). It is most important that you respond to all questions on the form. Your request will be reviewed by a panel of members from cognizant project offices and technical divisions.
